New Year Improved Me

I seem to procrastinate every year about getting my life on track where I should be. I have come to the conclusion that I fear being successful. I am afraid that if I reach my goals and dreams, my life will change dramatically and not all in a good way. I fear I will change along the way and I wont have the love of my friends and family in the way I do now.

I have become painfully comfortable in my misery. As each year ticks by I find myself full of regret for not making the changes I so desperately need to make. I am now at the point where I say NO MORE. I can not continue on this road. I was made for more. I was made to be successful and be in a position to give back. It is now more painful for me to bare my current existence than for me to make the needed changes in my life. I will be documenting my transformation here. This is not just about my health, my weight or my finances. This is about the whole package. This is about my story and making a difference.

Trying to lose weight again

Well I am back on the wagon of losing weight. I am actually not doing bad. I have changed my diet over the last two weeks. I really couldn’t afford weight watchers or Jenny Craig or the Biggest Loser diet plans. But I have found that Wal-Mart has a great one!. I am using the Great Value Lean Cafe meals. They are cheap and really taste good. They average around 300 calories. I am having those for lunch and dinner and oatmeal mainly for breakfast. I have lost about 12 lbs :) so I am happy with the progress! Has anyone else tried these?

Just 10 Challenge

As you can tell I kinda fell off the exercise wagon.  So pushing my self really hard and getting up really early didnt work out for me as a permanent change.  So I am going to take it slower this time and make it more managable.

The Just 10 Challenge is about making a small commitment with a huge payoff. Join Dr. Oz’s national movement that promises to change the health of America, 10 pounds at a time. Without changing your eating.

Health Master Blender

Has anyone else purchased one of these? I can say it honestly makes hot soup! However I find that I like to add some of the ingredients at the very end so that they are not pureed LOL . I have tried a few of the recipes and they are pretty good too. Some of them I have had to put my own spin on though. Its a little loud, but I love the timer feature on it :)   Let me know what you think about it.

Most experts recommend that you exercise up to 90 minutes most days of the week, emphasizing that you gradually work your way up to that duration. However, a recent study conducted at Boston Sports Clubs found that participants who exercised for 20-30 minutes did so more consistently than those involved in 45-60 minute workout sessions. This study shows that you’re more likely to stick to a shorter duration workout than a longer one.

Weigh-In

Okay so last week I told you that I have lost 9 lbs all together. That wasn’t exactly true I rounded up. I had lost 8.6 lbs. So from now on I will not be rounding up or down. This week I have lost .4 so a total of 9 lbs. Since the beginning I have also lost 2 inches in my tummy, 1 inch in my chin/face & 2 inches in my hips.  I started this 1 month ago.  So in one month I have lost a total of 9 lbs and 5 inches. It isn’t a miracle but it is progress.  I can see it in my clothes, which I love.  I am learning to healthier and enjoy it.  However I am still crossing my fingers for a bigger lost next week :)
